We are proud to announce that GreenAsh has just accepted its 100th member! Registration has been open for almost 7 months now, and we are thrilled that so many users have been able to benefit from our membership services in that time.

I'll be away on holiday for the next two weeks (back on 24 Jul 2005). In that time, nobody will be available to approve new GreenAsh accounts, or to answer any queries. However, all pending accounts and queries will be dealt with when I get back.

A list of frequently asked questions is now available in the 'About' section. The list currently covers a range of topics, including general trivia about GreenAsh, information on posting comments and content, and procedures for accessing our resources.

At 12:30pm today, the hit counters for every piece of content site-wide were reset to 1. This was done because search engine bots were inflating the numbers on these counters, and hence they were becoming ineffective at providing useful statistical information. Measures have now been put in place to stop these bots from affecting the site's counters.

After being down for over 24 hours, due to a hard disk failure at our host's datacentre, GreenAsh is now back online. Fortunately, our hosting provider had run a full backup shortly before the incident, so no data has been lost as a result of this incident.
